Exciting Milestone for South Hays Fire Department/ESD 3!

We are proud to announce that South Hays Fire Department’s first full-time firefighters have officially completed their probationary skills testing requirements! Over the past nine months, these dedicated individuals have undergone rigorous training and testing to meet the high standards required to achieve the title of Firefighter.

Today, they have earned the honor of wearing the Black Helmet Shield, proudly displaying the name of South Hays Fire Department and signifying their status as fully trained and qualified firefighters.

This group holds the distinct honor of being the first fully paid members to achieve this milestone in our department’s history. We commend their hard work, commitment, and dedication to serving our community with excellence.
